Submit your sequencing request to the JGI:

The Work Initiation Process (WIP) application provides a web-based interface that can be used to request sequencing from the JGI (view current product list). The current release supports submissions of all proposal types below:

Community Sequencing Program (CSP) annual call:

This user program is open to everyone during the annual call. The 2013 call for Letters of Intent is now open. About CSP

Community Sequencing Program (CSP) quarterly microbial call:

This program is open to anyone. Proposals for small-scale bacterial and archaeal isolates and microbial resequencing projects may be submitted at any time as brief white papers and will be reviewed every three months. Deadline for submission is 30 days prior to the review. See proposal schedule for specific dates. About CSP

Technology Development Pilot (TDP) program:

This program is open to anyone and proposals may be submitted at any time. As a complement to the CSP, the TDP is designed to provide our user community with early access to nascent technologies at the DOE JGI and in close collaboration with the onsite scientific staff. About TDP

Bioenergy Research Centers (BRCs):

This program is open to PIs associated with DOE Bioenergy Centers only. Proposals may be submitted at any time. About BRCs

International Cooperative Biodiversity Groups (ICBG):

This program is open to PIs associated with labs that have current ICBG funding. Proposals may be submitted at any time. About ICBG

Other proposal types:

Sequencing proposals not associated with any of the above user programs may also be submitted at any time. However, the JGI uses very little of its allocation for contract sequencing services. Before applying, we recommend you contact a JGI Scientist to discuss the DOE mission relevance and potential JGI interest.
